Garhwal FC edge past Goodwill FC


Defending champions - IOCL Garhwal Heroes Football Club came from behind to score a 2-1 win over lowly placed Goodwill FC in the round - robin super league match to keep their hopes alive in the championship race of the DLF - ONGC - Delhi Soccer Association (DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship- 2013 being held today at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium . 


At lemon break, Goodwill FC led 1-0 in the 25th minute through inside- left Balbir. On resumption, Garhwal Heroes restored parity 1-1 in 65th minute through outside- right Gamganlung Kemei while former international Trilok Singh Bisht completed tally 2-1 in 76th minute. Goodwill's Rahul Aswal recieved yellow card for infringement. 

Garhwal Heroes completed their engagements by collecting 16 points from 7 matches while Goodwill finished with only one point. The title-ship race will be decided on January 27 after the result of the last match scheduled to be held between newly promoted Indian National FC ( 14 Points ) and Solutrean- Bonjour Hindustan FC ( 13 points ) .
