Five-time champion Kerala registered a clinical 3-1 win over Andhra Pradesh in their second match of the South Zone Qualifier for the 69th National Football championship for theSantosh Trophy, here today.
Striker Usman hit a brace to put Kerala 2-0 up at the end of first half.
Kerala continued to dominate the exchanges from the beginning of second half.
Andhra, however, managed to reduce the margin with a 69th minute goal by Syed Khaleel. Kannan netted a goal in the 71st minute to clinch the tie in Kerala's favour.
Kerala had lost to Tamil Nadu 0-1 in their first tie. Earlier, Karnataka opened their campaign with a 12-0 thrashing of Andaman and Nicobar.
