IFA Shield final on Feb. 15

The Indian Football Association (IFA) finally came out with the revised schedule of the 118th IFA Shield.

As was expected, the postponed matches — United SC versus Geylang International FC on January 29 and Mohun Bagan versus Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club on January 30 — will be played on Saturday.

The Bagan-Dhanmondi encounter has been scheduled as Saturday’s first match.

The two semi-finals will be held on Tuesday, with the final being slated for February 15. The match for the third and fourth places has been slotted on February 13.

With the IFA deciding to hold the final on February 15, the I-League committee will have to make changes to the I-League fixture if any one or two city clubs make it to the summit clash. All the four Calcutta clubs have I-League games during that weekend.

United SC take on Mumbai FC at home on February 14, while East Bengal will host Churchill Brothers the following day.
