Junior Royals win away match against Green Valley

Royal Wahingdoh secured a huge 6-1 win against Green Valley on Tuesday’s U-19 I-League 2014 match in Assam after contributions from as many as five players including Loken Meitei’s brace. 

Green Valley did well to gain an early 3^rd minute lead before throwing away chances to suffer yet another loss in the hands of the Royals.

Earlier, Biswa Dowari provided an early breakthrough with a shot into goal in the 3^rd minute for Green Valley, playing their home match in Assam. However, it took Wahingdoh only six minutes to equalise with Rohlupuia doing the needful. In the 33^rd minute, Bibek Bhutia gave the junior Shillong-based side the lead before Loken Meitei pumped in two goals in the 50^th and 55^th minutes to take the scores to 4-1. Premchand Singh added another in the 81^st minute while Naoba Meitei finished off the match with an 89^th minute strike.

Royal Wahingdoh now have six points from three matches, winning both matches against Green Valley while losing their home game to Shillong Lajong FC.
