Another convincing dominating display by RWFC helped them reach the final round of the 2nd Div I-League.
Needing a point to get through on a rain-soaked pitch in Dhanbad, the Royal managed to garner a strong victory against PIFA, courtesy goals from Yonezawa and Babatunde. While the Japanese striker headed in a following a corner in the 60th minute, Babatunde Badmus then added his name to the scoresheet in the 80th min by calmly controlling a ball in the box and then coolly slotting it between the keepers legs.
With this win, RWFC finished as Group Champions in Dhanbad with 11 points and a higher goal difference than Kalighat MS, who later in the day sealed their qualification with a 2-1 win over Green Valley SC.
The final round is expected to begin late March in Ailchar and Aizawl. Bhowanipore, Hindustan FC and United Sikkim will complete the final five.
