Santosh Trophy 2014:Kerala beat Karnataka in 5 goal thriller to enter final round!

Kerala state football team enter the final round of 2014 Santosh trophy tournament by beating Karnataka 3-2 in the crucial encounter between the two held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Chennai.

SBT player Shibin Lal bagged a brace for team Kerala while Usman completed the score line in favour of Kerala

In the 30th minute Karnataka took the lead 1-0 against Kerala through Gurnilal and they doubled the lead in the 32nd minute by Saviour Vijayakumar

After conceding two goals Kerala sharpened their attack.After series of attack into the Karnataka half finally Kerala gets the result in the 36th minute through Shibin lal.The score remained same at the half time.

In the second half it seemed like Karnataka would managed to get away with 2-1 victory,but Kerala pumped two more goal in the injury time to make a u turn in the match.Usman and Shibin lal scored in the 8th and 9th minute of injury time respectively.And latter named Man of the Match.

It was a crucial encounter for team Kerala as only a win would managed to bring them to the final round.After thrashing ANdaman 17-0 they were quite confident on doing that.
