Results of Garhwal FC U-19 Open Trials

Garhwal FC successfully conducted its first open trials of the season for its U-19 team on 2^nd March 2014.

More than 350 young footballers from different parts of the country traveled all the way to showcase their talent. The trials saw players coming from as far as Kerala, Hyderabad, Goa, Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur in addition to neighboring states such as Punjab, Uttarakhand, UP and Haryana.

“We are overwhelmed by the number and quality of talent that was at display and heartily thank all these youngsters for participating in the trials.  It has been a very difficult task to shortlist the final few and our coaches had to work hard for over 12 hours along with the boys. The entire Club is impressed at the sincerity and determination of the players who came from so far away.”, said MS Patwal, one of the Club’s senior-most directors.

Following is the PROVISIONAL list of probables for the GFC U-19 Squad that will participate in the upcoming U-19 I-League (in alphabetical order):

The above players will undergo a 2-week-long training camp in New Delhi with the rest of the GFC U19 team, at the end of which a combined 20-member squad will be selected to represent the Club in the U19 I-League that is to be held at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand from 8th April
