In a thrilling encounter, Sporting Clube de Goa were held to a 3-3 draw by Salgaocar Football Club in the Airtel I-League at PJN Stadium, Fatorda on Tuesday.
The match was tied 2-2 at the interval.Salgaocar raced into the lead after just four minutes when Daryl Duffy converted a penalty kick, after he was fouled by Sporting Goa defender Rojen Singam.Salgaocar were jumping for joy after only 11 minutes, after Dudu Omagbemi kept his composure to score against his former club and doubled his sides lead.
Sporting Goa soon got their act together and found the back of the net, when Salgaocar did not manage to clear a corner, which allowed Rowllin Borges to chip the ball back into danger area for Kalu Ogba to head home.
Sporting Goa started to build momentum and drew level before the breather, after Velito D’Cruz laid the ball for Boima Karpeh who blasted in the equalizer.
After resumption, the Flaming Oranje continued to battle hard and was rewarded for their efforts when Rowllin fired into the back of the net through a crowded box to make it 3-2.Salgaocar attacked with intensity and found the equalizer at the death through substitute Bikas Jairu, to save his teams blushes.
