Matthias Sammer rules out selling Mario Mandžukić in the summer |
Bayern Munich's sporting director Matthias Sammer has ruled out selling Mario Mandzukic in the summer.
The Croatian striker's future was said to be in doubt after the club's decision of signing Dortmund hitman Robert Lewandowski.
Several big clubs such as Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea are rumoured to be keeping an eye on the 27-year-old.
Sammer told Sky90, "Nobody even has to bother making an approach for Mandzukic. He is incredibly important to Bayern. I always affectionately say that he plays like an animal. It is simply amazing how much work he does for the team and how much running he does during a game. They always try to provoke him because he really hurts his opponents with his work-rate."
Mandzukic has netted 17 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances this season.
