Scouting Report: Should The Reds Pursue Mohamed Diamé?

According to some recent reports West Ham mid fielder Mohammed Diame don't wants to stay at the club.He is ready to move out of the club,preferably to Liverpool."Liverpool?I can't tell you if i will be a Liverpool player next season.But I think my name is still on their wish list" the player indicated.

I would like to analyse the player and pass verdict whether Liverpool should go after the Senegalese footballer or not

Missed opportunity to become a Big club player!

He could have been a big player if he did not suffers from a congenital heart defect as he has been targeted by big clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal.He was a tremendous player and was a bargain of the season when he moved from Wigan to West Ham on free transfer.

Strong Dribbler

He is a impressive dribbler.His control over the ball is unique and just amazing.He fits the cliche 'quick feet for a big lad'.

He is very technical and can easily skip past opposition using the bulk of his upper body.

He has a great advantage of powerful dribbling ability and he registers an average of 1.9 dribbles per game.

Defensive Game

His contribution to the defense is simply world class.His physique and tackling power makes it hard to pass through him.

Awful Passing Game

He is a dreadful passer.He posses an average of only 16.6 passes per game and cant complete about 22 percentage of them.This is definitely appalling seeing that Brenden Rodgers ,Henderson (56.7),Gerrard (62.5),Lucas(53.7) and even Allen (31.5) who is enduring substitute still play more passes than Diame.He wont fit Liverpool's game as they have a an average of 84% passes per game.

Need to Improve Attacking

Whenever he scores,he scores like third of the clear cut opportunities presented to him.His finishing must needs to improve.He could only score 4 goals and assisted 2.This is definitely not a favor for the Reds as they are currently the top scoring team in the EPL

Diame is certainly can not be a Liverpool property.He is currently not in his prime as once he was a midfielder full of promise to become a world class player.Liverpool should aim to buy world's best midfielders.He is not even close to that at the moment.But he is still a solid player for West Ham.He is in decline and never shown his class that set while he was at Wigan.So Liverpool should not buy him and buying him would be a degrade on the current players.So why bother?
