On May 28, 2014 at Mongkok Stadium, you will see the showcase of two Spanish Giants (Villareal 7th in the league and Valencia 8th in the league and this year UEFA Europa League semi-finalist) in Hong Kong with BC Rangers.
The showcase will be a three 45 minutes matches single round robin between the three teams with the starting time at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Villareal and Valencia will bring their full teams to Hong Kong except a minimal number of world cup bounded players missing in action. The showcase is co-organized by BC Rangers and LFP, the Spanish La Liga Commission and called as LFP World Challenge.
As cost paying to the two foreign teams are borne by LFP, BC Rangers decided to make a best possible ticket deal to the general public by having the maximum ticket price as HKD280 (around USD 36) for watching all three 45 minutes game in a night.
The competition is a single round robin between three teams and whoever win the 45 minutes game has three points with draw each team gets one point and the loser gets zero. Also, whoever score one goal will get an additional point which motivates all teams to score as much as they can. The night highest point team will claim the trophy.
BC Rangers in order to prepare well for the night, they will through its Spanish goalkeeper Ramon Sanchez Algaba to recruit four Spanish young players coming to Hong Kong to compete with two Spanish giants as well as their trial match with BC Rangers. Coach Ricardo Rambo said should any of these Spanish players find to be fitted to the team, they will get a contract with BC Rangers for coming season.
