Bundesliga team Hoffenheim to play against Mizoram XI in Aizawl!

German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim to become second German top division club to play here in India as the team decided to play against Mizoram XI on May 13.Lammual stadium to host the match under floodlight , it will telecast live nationally on DD Sports and locally in Mizoram on Zonet.

Mizoram XI will include Mizo I-League players like Jeje and all.The ticket will cost around 100 (Minimum)

Mizoram Football Association  General Secretary and Arunava Chaudhuri announced this in a press conference held at Hotel Regency,Aizawl yesterday night!.

According to Arunava,they are doing this not for business but for uplifting football in India and it is a fact that Mizoram is one of the power house of football in India,their recent success in Santosh Trophy is proving so.Majority of people in Mizoram love football.So they are organizing the match only in Mizoram.But the Bundesliga team will travel to Kolkata and Goa to conduct football clinics in their one week India Tour

Hoffenheim currently lies in 9th position at Bundesliga and the team will bring their best players to India.But it has been learned that some of them miss a chance to play in Mizoram because of the coming world cup commitment for their respective countries.Fabian Johnson(USA),Salihovic(Bosnia Captain) ,Casteels (Belgium) and Volland (Germany);these are the players who are not coming to Aizawl because of World cup commitments.
