Youth Football Club Rurka Kalan in association with Punjab Football Association (PFA) is organizing the All India Football Federation (AIFF) grassroots course for coaches at its Youth & Sports Complex in Rurka Kalan on 23rd,24th and 25th May 2014
35 Youth coaches who are working across various youth academies in Punjab would be attending the course for three consecutive days to learn the AIFF grassroots philosophy.
This is the first time when all youth coaches in Punjab would learn under the same umbrella and the initiative has been taken by none other than Youth Football Club Rurka Kalan who has been working for the underprivileged children through the medium of football since 2001 and produced more than 30 national players till now.
YFC President Gurmangal Dass says, ‘Grassroots football remains to be an important area of development for YFC Rurka Kalan. It’s a historic day for the academy and coaches in Punjab who are working tirelessly in various academies. We are thankful to AIFF and Punjab Football Association for giving this wonderful opportunity to our academy. I think it’s fundamental to start coaching the coaches at the grassroots level because better coaches make better players. It’s also important to focus on young children as they are the future.’
The theory and practical sessions will be conducted for children of 6-12 age-group. The course will be concluded with a grassroots festival on the last day involving all children who would attend all practical sessions previously. Star Impact is the grassroots partner of the course.
