Yet another initiative to foster the awareness and growth of football in the country! The Nethaji Sports Club has joined hands with the makers of the film, Aivaraattam that attempts to showcase a 5’s game and is based on real incidents from the lives of members of the Sivaganga FC team, a football club in Sivaganga, a district situated in the south of Tamil Nadu.
Rohit Ramesh, President of the Nethaji Football Club, says, “The sole priority of the Club is to catalyse the growth and development of football in Tamil Nadu, and eventually in the whole country. This was a great platform for us to do that. Besides, the intent of the film is so beautiful. It showcases the life-stories of football players from a small town; their setbacks and challenges; their victories and success stories. From our end, we will try and promote the film as much as possible. Our players will wear T-shirts with the name of the film on them, and we will try and spread the word around on our social media platforms. We are really excited to be associated with the film.”
Nethaji Sports Club is the official Football Partner for the film. The Club is amongst the first in the country to engage in an initiative of this sort.
