RedMR HK First Division League – South China 4:2 Eastern Salon

South China hosted Eastern Salon in Hong Kong Stadium for another round of first division league fixture on Saturday afternoon. South China established a comfortable lead in the first half and never looked back, easing to a 4:2 victory at home over Eastern Salon.                           The Caroiners generated the first scoring chance of the game on the 10th minute when Jack Sealy whipped in a cross from the right hand-side that was headed by a diving Sasa Kajkut. Unfortunately for the home side, Kajkut’s header lacked power and Eastern Salon keeper Paulo Da Silva handled the ball with ease.   South China took the lead on the 17th minute when Dhiego Martins’ cheeky back-heel picked out Jack Sealy. The latter delivered yet another cross that was easily powered into the Eastern Salon goal by a Sasa Kajkut header. The score was now 1:0.   The Caroliners made it 2:0 on the 20th minute when Lee Hong-lim’s low-cross from the left-flank was directed into the Eastern Salon goal by a fully-stretched Andrew Barisic. South China suddenly found themselves two-goals in front.   South China got on the scoreboard again on the 31st minute when Joao Pereira picked out Sasa Kajkut on the edge of the Eastern Salon box. Kajkut one-timed his shot and found the back of the net. South China was now leading 3:0.   Lee Chi-ho almost got himself on the score sheet on the 44th minute when the South China defender connected with a Joao Pereira corner-kick but fired his shot wide.   Eastern Salon had a great chance to pull closer deep in the first half injury time, when Dylan Macallister got on the end of a Raymond Yiu cross but headed the ball wide off the South China goal.   South China had another scoring chance on the 48th minute when Lee Hong-lim unleashed a superb lob that was brilliantly saved by Eastern Salon’s substitute keeper Li Hon-ho.   Eastern Salon almost broke the goose-egg on the 57th minute when Manoel Santos picked up a long-pass and smartly flicked the ball over South China keeper Yapp Hung-fai. Unfortunately, South China defender Lee Chi-ho managed to clear the ball away from the goal-line to keep Eastern Salon scoreless.   The visitors got on the scoreboard on the 62nd minute when South China’s Andrew Barisic headed an Eastern Salon corner-kick into his own net. The score was now 3:1.   South China tried to pour pressure back towards Eastern Salon. On the 64th minute, Lo Kong-wai fired a low-shot that forced out a great save by Eastern Salon keeper Li Hon-ho.   The Caroliners made it 4:1 on the 74th minute when Lo Kong-wai’s cross was easily tapped into the Eastern Salon net by an unmarked Andrew Barisic.   Eastern Salon pulled closer once again on the 78th minute when Dylan Macallister fired a superb strike from just outside the box to make it a 4:2 game.   Both sides failed to add to the score in the remaining minutes as South China eased to a 4:2 victory over Eastern Salon.

South China had another scoring chance on the 48th minute when Lee Hong-lim unleashed a superb lob that was brilliantly saved by Eastern Salon’s substitute keeper Li Hon-ho.

Eastern Salon almost broke the goose-egg on the 57th minute when Manoel Santos picked up a long-pass and smartly flicked the ball over South China keeper Yapp Hung-fai. Unfortunately, South China defender Lee Chi-ho managed to clear the ball away from the goal-line to keep Eastern Salon scoreless.

South China tried to pour pressure back towards Eastern Salon. On the 64th minute, Lo Kong-wai fired a low-shot that forced out a great save by Eastern Salon keeper Li Hon-ho.

The Caroliners made it 4:1 on the 74th minute when Lo Kong-wai’s cross was easily tapped into the Eastern Salon net by an unmarked Andrew Barisic.

Eastern Salon pulled closer once again on the 78th minute when Dylan Macallister fired a superb strike from just outside the box to make it a 4:2 game.

Both sides failed to add to the score in the remaining minutes as South China eased to a 4:2 victory over Eastern Salon.
