FIFA World Cup 2014:Algeria go down fighting to Belgium

Belgium beat Algeria 2-1 in FIFA World cup 2014 group H match
Belgium secured a hard fighting 2-1 victory over Algeria National team in an exciting encounter held at Belo Horizonte's Estadio Mineirao at the FIFA world cup 2014.

The match begun against the expectation as the early minutes of first half saw Algerians playing better of the two and they came close to the opening at the 18th Minutes when the forward Riyad Mahrez wasted a chance after a beautiful set pieces from the team mates.

The continues attack on goal from Algerians saw the Belgians stepping back to their own half. They continued their attacks and the Algerians have made this match more interesting thanks to an early penalty decision that was tucked away by Feghouli. This goal ended their long wait for a world cup goal as it was their first goal in the FIFA world cup History since 1986.

The goal was a wake up call for the Belgians and they started to respond well but could not penetrate the well bounded Algerian defence.

The first half ended with a goal edge to the Africans.

The desert warriors continued their threatening to the red devils and it could have been 2-0 lead at the 57th minutes when the defender Carl Medjani head the ball just wide of the far post.

The introduction of Mertens,Fellani and Divock Origi really made a huge impact for Marc Wilmots' side as the red devils

Fellani made it one all  at the 70th minutes while another substitute Dries Mertens won it for Belgium at the 80th minutes with a power full strike into the roof of the net in a quick counter attack.

Algerian tried to come back to the match but it was too late for the North Africans in the group H encounter.
