Manchester United launch astonishing £56m bid for star striker Edinson Cavani

According to Daily Mail and reports in Italy, ManchesterUnited have launched an astonishing £56 million bid for star striker Edinson Cavani.

According to daily newspaper Tuttosport, the PSG star is on top of Louis van Gaal's wishlist this summer. Cavani has spent six years in Italy with Palermo and Napoli and later joined PSG last summer for around £55 million. 

The 27-years-old hit-man is apparently unhappy at having to play along Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Cavani has spent most of his time playing wide on the pitch this season, making way for Ibrahimovic at the centre.

Cavani is said to be considering this option but is aware of not being able to participate in the Champions League if he decides to join Manchester United.

Cavani scored 25 goals in 43 games for PSG in all competitions last season and will be Uruguay's one of the most important attacking options, along with Liverpool superstar Luiz Suarez.
