Much hyped Indian Super League set to begin from 12th this month at Saltlake Stadium Kolkata and Sourav Ganguli's Atletico De Kolkata to face Ranbir Kapoor's Mumbai City FC in the inaugural match.
The league have successfully attracted likes of Sachin Tendulkar,Sourava Ganguly,Virat Kohli,MS Dhoni,John Abraham,Salman Khan,Ranbir Kapoor and various corporate to own a franchisee in the league.Apart from those big names now the league also could bringing in top brands as the sponsors for the league.
Hero motors signed a three year contract to become title sponsor of the league months ago and now Maruti Suzuki to serve as the associate sponsor and hopefully the deal will go through next three years.
The Muthoot Group will sponsor fair play awards and Jersey of Referee while German apparel brand Puma to distribute official ball for the league.Pepsico has been announced as the official pouring partner and other partners include Nise Gel and Diary and confectionery brand Amul.
All sponsorship deal are expected to run for next three years and the organizers reportedly making 44 crores from these brands per year.Hero reportedly paying a sum of 20 crores per year while Maruti Suzuki's deal would be for 8 crores per year.All other partners paying around 3.5 crores per year.The league expected to have more sponsors in coming weeks.
The major attraction of the league could be its association with star India and they will broadcast the league on 8 channels in 5 different language.Those are Star Sports 2 (English),Star Sports 3 (Hindi),Star Sports HD 2 (English),Star Gold (Hindi),Jalsha Movies (Bengali),Asianet Movies (Malayalam),Suvarna Plus (Kannada),Fox Sports (Australia) and www.starsports.com (English)
