All India Football Federation officially made an offer to Stephen Constantine to become Indian National Football team and U23 team coach.
The offer will reportedly communicated with Constantine by the AIFF General Secretary MR Kushal Das.Howver it remains to see whether he will accept the offer or not.
The current Rwanda National team coach had a remarkable career in India before as head coach of India.During his period of guidance from 2002 to 2005 ,team India achieved some notable results including 2002 LG Cup title and Afro Asian games second place,where team India managed to beat much above ranked team likes Rwanda and Zimbawe and only losing 1-0 to Uzbekistan in the Final.
Under Constantine team Rwanda recently reached their best ever FIFA ranking of 68.
Earlier AIFF had shortlisted Ricky Herbert along with Constantine for the position of the head coach.However as per AIFF release ,the desicion of offering Constantine as the coach took after the recommendation from AIFF Technical committee led by Baichung Bhutia.
