Pune based Indian Super League franchise FC Pune cIty have completed the signing of former Manchester City assistant manager David Platt as their head coach for ISL second season.
David Platt,48 having a diverse experience in both Club football and International football as well.He represented likes of Aston Villa,Juventus ,Arsenal in his club career and managed 62 caps for England National Football team.He was a midfielder in his playing career.
Coming to his managerial career,he started with Serie A side UC Sampdoria and managed Nottingham Forest,England U21,and Manchester City both as first team coach and Assistant coach.
He assisted Roberto Mancini at Manchester City and left the club in 2013 following Mancini's departure at the club.
According to source,he has given the role to get FC Pune City into the last four of ISL 2.Despite having former Napoli coach Franco Colamba ,Jermaine Pennant,French world cuper David Trezeguet and Greece captain Kostas Katsouranis,they have failed to finish among top 4.
