Pune FC midfielder Dhanpal Ganesh has been named in the 26-member Indian squad for the twin-World Cup Qualifiers against Oman and Guam scheduled on 11th and 16th June, 2015 respectively.
For medio Ganesh, the call up will be his second at the senior level having been earlier called up for the preliminary round qualifier against Nepal in March. In fact, Ganesh even made his debut in the away clash in Kathmandu.
Stephen Constantine-led India will take on Oman at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru in the opener on June 11 before travelling away to Guam to face the South-East Asian side in the second round in the following week.
Meanwhile, striker Thongkhosiem Haokip who was in the initial list of 38-probables misses out on the final selection
