Man United battle Chelsea for Tielemans

Manchester United are going toe to toe with Chelsea for the signing of Youri Tielemans from Anderlecht.

According to reports, Louis van Gaal sees the 18-year-old as the ideal long-term replacement for Michael Carrick.

Having made his Champions League debut at 16, Tielemans has attracted the attention of Europe's top clubs with his perfomances for the Belgian side.

United have been scouting him in the last few seasons and could be making a January move for the player.
