It's okay with history, Let's look forward.. Kerala Football in 2014..

2014 is going to be the best year for Kerala football in recent years....

Kerala's football journey of 2014 will begin from January when the Federation Cup kicks off.The tournament will be played at our regular JLN Kochi and newly built stadium at Manjeri.Inclusion of Eagles FC Kerala has increased the excitement of the tournament as a Kerala Club gonna play in top  National Level Tournament after a gap with good foreign and domestic signings Eagles is ready to be black horses of  FED Cup 2014.

Before the excitement of FED cup gets over,team Kerala will start their Santosh trophy campaign against Neighbours Tamil Nadu on 26th January at Silliguri.Last year's runner up expect nothing less than the trophy under former Viva Kerala coach Sreedharan.

Kerala expect a big growth in youth development as u17 world cup fever has affected the nation and well master planned developmental programmes to be took place in 2014 and coming years.

In 2014 Kerala awaits to host Nehru Cup for the first time since the revival of the tournament.But it is not clear that whether the tournament to be held in 2014 or not.

2014 is going to be the year of infrastructure in Kerala football,as new 3 stadiums comes in,Trivandrum karyavattom multipurpose stadium with huge capacity,dream of Malabar the Manjeri Payyanad stadium and the Calicut Medical College Stadium,while Calicut EMS Corporation stadium and Malappuram Kottappadi stadium will complete their renovation process before the 1st quarter of the year.As Kochi JLN stadium is a probable venue for u17 world cup,Kochi Ambedkar stadium also expect a renovation.

Kerala Premier League is going to be another best thing to happen in the year of 2014,where 12 clubs including one Kerala Youth team battles it out for Kerala's club title which will be played in more than one venue.

Kerala's only I-League div 2 representative will be Eagles FC Kerala,their strong backing giving us hope but on the other hand AIFF already confirmed that there will be one corporate team from Kerala in next I-League.

Don't know what's going to be the future of INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE,but if it happen then Keralites will get to see action of legendary players like Luis Saha,Cresppo,Thiery Henry, etc...Live...

And from my side ,i hope we can give you a full functioning MALAPPURAM FC in the year of 2014.
