Dudu Signed For Salgaocar FC

According to goal.com, former Sporting Goa striker Dudu omagbemi has signed for former i-league champions Salgaocar FC to replace Striker Claude Gnakpa,who released by the club after realizing the player was carrying shoulder injury.

It is learned that the Relegation threat has forced Mr.Salgaocar to go for the fourth foreigner,who they were not likely to sign,and humiliating loss to Lajong in ongoing Federation cup only aggravated the concern

The 28 year old Nigerian started his career in India with sporting Goa.He had a very successful career with sporting Goa and became top scorer in the National football league 2004-05.

The player rejected the 2008 olympic call up and Joined 3 time Hungarian Champion Debreceni VSC on 5 August 2008. 

Currently he is undergoing a medical test in Goa.He has to prove his fitness on check up and only then the contract hand to him.

“The player has to prove his fitness with us. After the signing of Seiji Saito who was released later, we realized that we will hand a contract only if the player undergoes a medical with us,” informed a Salgaocar official who didn’t wish to be named to Goal.com

 “Dudu’s visa formalities are left and we have to get ITC (International Transfer Certificate) too,” the official added.

His last stint was with Finnish club FC KUPS where he scored 4 goals from 23 appearence
