Pune FC Signs Australian Player Mirjan Pavlovic

I League team Pune FC have strengthened their squad by the addition of Aussie striker Mirjan Pavlovic as the replacement of James Mayer ahead of their second phase I-League campaign and AFC Cup tournament.


Pavlovic 24,born in Croatia and moved Australia when he was 5,where he started his football  career with West Sydney Berries in the New South Wales Premier League.His impressive performance for the team earned him a contract at Newcastle Jets youth team.

In 2010 he signed for A  League club Wellington phoenix on one year youth contract ,after a successful trial including matches against Boca Juniors and Wairarapa United.The latter match saw him score a hat-trick in a 5-1 victory

On 18 November 2010,Pavlovic signed a new 2 year deal with the Phoenix,tying him to the club until March 2013.His contract with the club was terminated by mutual consent on 14 November 2012.

He last played for NSWPL Sydney united where he managed to score 10 goal from 29 game.

He had 4 caps for Australian u23 national team.His last international game for Australia u23 was on  June 6 ,2011under Aurelio Vidmar against Japan u23
