Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press
We wish to thank the management of the Al Ahli Sporting club, Dubai for consenting to establish a mentor-partner support system with SEPT (Sports and Education Promotion Trust) which is a one of its kind and an established football development grassroots programme in India.
SEPT was founded in 2004 and today trains over 1900 children between the ages of 8 and 14 through its 51 centres which covers the 13 districts of Kerala in South India.
SEPT is an organization that seeks for talent among children from less privileged backgrounds especially in the semi-rural, rural, coastal and tribal regions of the state. While nurturing their talents SEPT endeavors to give them a footing in life by providing them with formal education and undertake to feed and clothe them should the need arise.
Al Ahli is one of the leading and most admired football clubs in the UAE and has been a leading light in football in the Middle East ever since its establishment in 1970.
As part of the partnership, Al Ahli has assured SEPT use of its sporting facilities for advanced training and access to their team of qualified coaches, both for the SEPT students and coaches. SEPT will inturn endeavor to promote viewership and club affiliations of the Al Ahli Soccer Club among Indians in the Middle East by highlighting the partnership through the Indian media.
