Training regime:
The Sporting Clube de Goa U-19 players have been training 5 times a week since September under the guidance of Spanish head Coach Javier Cabrera.
This season, the SCG U-19 squad played in the Goa Football Association 2nd division league for the clubs feeder team, Panjim Footballers and has qualified for the district play-offs after topping the zonal league.

History:
Sporting Clube de Goa were committed to youth development early on and the club coached by Severino Fernandes, were crowned the inaugural champions of the U-19 I-League on 21st May 2010, defeating East Bengal 4-2 on penalties after the match ended goalless after 120 minutes.
Nine players from that Golden era (Joyner Lourenco, Jovel Martins, Pedro Gonsalves, Pritam Singh, Mackroy Peixote, Stephene Barretto, Valerio Rodrigues, Rowllin Borges and Valzinho Fernandes) went on to make their senior team debut, while the majority transferred to other Professional clubs.
With the long term development plan of the SCG President Peter Vaz in place, the Flaming Oranje launched the SCG Academy on 16thAugust 2013, at the hands of AIFF Academy Technical Director Scott O’Donnell.
