The Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) today announced that “2013/2014 HKFA Hong Kong Top Footballer Award” and its public voting will begin on April 30, 2014.
Hong Kong Top Footballer Award is a publicized major football event in Hong Kong every year. Football clubs, footballers and fans very much look forward to this Annual Awards, which is also the grand finale of the football season.
16 awards winners include: “Footballer of the Year”(1 winner), “Hong Kong Top Footballers”(11 winners), “Most Favorite Player”(1 winner), “Coach of the Year”(1 winner) & “Young Players of the Year” (2 winners) will be selected from the General Public, the Media and a Judging Panel which consists of members for the football fraternity.
Voting Mechanism:
1. Hong Kong Top Footballers(11 winners)
- 1st Stage：No more than 11 players will be nominated from each club of 1st Division League.
- 2nd Stage（April 30, 2014 to May 19, 2014）： 11 winners will be selected from the General Public, the Media, a Judging Panel as well as the Hong Kong Sports Press Association.

| b. | Vote from the Media: 30% (Each organization will have 1 vote) |
| c. | Vote from A Judging Panel: 30% |
| d. | Vote from the Hong Kong Sports Press Association: 10% |
* Hong Kong Top Footballers define as: Whoever footballer receives the highest voting on each position on the pitch. (Footballer with the highest votes will become the “Footballer of the Year”)
* The player who receives the highest votes from the public will be named as the “Most Favorite Player”.
2. Young Players of the Year (2 winners)
- 1st Stage：2 footballers aged under 23 (born in or after 1991) will be nominated from each club of 1st Division League.
- 2nd Stage（April 30, 2014 to May 19, 2014）：The 2 winners will be selected from the General Public, the Media, a Judging Panel as well as the Hong Kong Sports Press Association.

- 1st Stage：1 coach will be nominated from each club of 1st Division League.
- 2nd Stage（April 30, 2014 to May 19, 2014）：The winner will be selected from the General Public, the Media, a Judging Panel as well as the Hong Kong Sports Press Association.

Note: Voting Results will be announced during the “Hong Kong Top Footballer Award Ceremony” which will be held in May, 2014 during the HKFA Annual Dinner.
