Chelsea look to sign Alberto Moreno as Ashley Cole's long term replacement

Chelsea football club is reportedly interested in signing Spanish left-back Alberto Moreno as the club looks to find a long-term replacement for their current left-back Ashley Cole.

The club has stopped chasing Luke Shaw and the player may now join Manchester United in the summer.

While Cole, whole has lost his starting role to another Spanish player, César Azpilicueta, is looking forward to sign for MLS team New York Red Bulls.

The club is said to place a £12million bid for Monero.

The 21-years-old Sevilla full back has made 40 appearances for the club so far this season and is expected to have a promising future.

Real Madrid was interested in signing the player for a long time and Moreno was also linked to Manchester United in January, but their interest amounted to nothing.
