MPL:LUANGMUAL FC PUSHED ON WITH A WIN

A Saturday evening match between Luangmual FC and Chanmari West FC in Mahindra 2 Wheelers Mizoram Premier League Season 2 was a crucial one for both the teams and in this amazing atmosphere, Luangmual FC came on top with a goal each from R. Lalthantluanga (Lalmama) and PC Zosangliana. Captain Reuben Zosangpuia was the man of the match. 

Under the guidance of coach K Malsawmkima, Luangmual FC have 24 points with this win and were in the second position briefly as Dinthar FC retained that position with a win later in the night. Under coach Chawngthansanga, Chanmari West FC remained in the sixth position as Reitlang FC failed to leapfrog them with a loss. 

The players

PC Zosangliana regained his starting spot for Luangmual FC as he scored three goals in a row for his team in the previous fixtures. They applied a 4-3-3 formation as PC Zosanga led the forward line with in-form Laldingngheta and Lalmama. Midfield was orchestrated by captain Reuben Zosangpuia while injured wing back Lalrinzuala Khiangte was replaced in the starting eleven by Dinthangpuia. Goalkeeper was Lalngaiha. Chanmari West FC were able to start H Lalrinliana who came back from a suspension after his red card incident against Aizawl FC while there were two defensive midielders Rina and C Ramdinmawia for Chanmari West FC.

The two teams are in desperate need of a point and we witnessed a lively match right from the start. Luangmual FC have better players and were more sharp in front of goal than their opposition. Chanmari West FC have a very good support and were solid at the back. Luangmual FC captain Reuben's powerful freekick struck the crossbar while Chanmari West defender Laltanpuia missed a good goal scoring chance. Dingngheta and Lalmama created problems for Chanmari West FC defenders. Lalmama showed his class by beating three of the Chanmari West FC defender. In the first half injury time Dingngheta won a freekick and Reubena's well taken pass was headed into the goal by Lalmama and it was 1-10 at half time. 

Just after four minutes into the second half Dingngheta's corner was headed in by PC Zosanga to give Luangmual FC a 2-0 lead. Luangmual FC played with caution after the goal while Chanmari West FC attacked with intention. Luangmual FC keeper Lalngaiha could not hold on to the ball on several occasions and it caused a lot of concern his back line. At 58 minutes Chanmari West FC Lalremruata's effort was parried by the keeper into the path of Lalhmangaihzuala who made no mistake with his effort but it was ruled out for offside. 

Chanmari West FC sent waves of attack after attack by the end of the match A supporter threw an empty bottle into the ground and the game was stopped for a few minutes and when the match resumed Luangmual FC players remained calm and registered a 2-0 win.
