UST Global GOAL 2014 Finals on May 1; CTS to Clash with UST Global Reds

The UST Global GOAL 2014 Men’s Sevens finals will be played on May 1 between Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and UST Global Reds at the Thrikkakkara Municipal Ground.  The football tournament for technology companies at Kochi Infopark, organised by UST Global  in association with Kairali Ford, Ultima Builders, Tata Docomo and Crowne Plaza, has been on over the past few weeks and the valedictory function on the day of the finals will have Dronacharya Sri KP Thomas as the Guest of Honour.  The final starts at 4.30 PM and the valedictory function will start at 6 PM. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Smt Nishanthini IPS will be the Chief Guest. Municipal Chairman Sri. Shaji Vazhakkala, Municipal Counsellors Sri. Prabhu and Sri Varghese Paulose, Chief Operation Officer of UST Global Sri Arun Narayanan, Global Head of Operation of UST Global Sri Sunil Balakrishnan and distinguished representatives from the Associates Sponsors of UST Global GOAL 2014 will grace the occasion.

On the same day of the Men's Sevens finals, the Women's Shootout segment will see Xerox taking on UST Global Reds. In the losers finals to be played, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will play  against Hubbell India for the third place in the Men’s Sevens segment, while IBS Software Services will play UST Global Blue for the third position in the Women's Shoot-out segment of tournament. There will be an exhibition football match played between the UST Girls team and the combined Ladies IX from Xerox, IBS & TCS.

Apart from the coveted UST Global GOAL trophy, the winning teams will also be presented with a cash prize and gift hampers from the Sponsors. Awards in the individual category will include the Golden Boot Trophy for the Top Scorer, Golden Ball Trophy for the Best Goal Keeper, and the Best Woman Player of the Tournament respectively.

 UST Global GOAL 2014, that started off on March 22, 2014 saw 24 teams competing in the Men's Sevens Segment, and 22 women's teams participate in the Shootout segment of the tournament. The tournament had the participation of teams from companies such as IBS Software Services, DovLin HealthCare, VIPoint Solutions Pvt Ltd, Hubbell India, Cognizant Technology Solutions , Claysys Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Xerox Services, Nest IT, Ruby SevenStudios, Kreata Global Digital Medi Services Pvt Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services, LSG (India) Private Limited, Rapid Value Solutions, QBurst Technologies Pvt Ltd, Ernest & Young, Aabasoft ,Wipro Technologies, Charter Mercantile, Orion India Systems Pvt Ltd, EXL Service, ThinkPalm Technologies Pvt Ltd, SOD Technologies Pvt Ltd, apart from the  host team of UST Global.
