The Forum will be held on May 13-14, 2014 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre by the Dead Sea in Jordan.

Speaking at the same Event, Dhar opined that he was very much ‘optimistic about India’s Football growth in the next 5-6 years.’

“India is going through a major transformation and the results of the last decade’s work are visible. India is witnessing huge progress on various fronts which include the I-League, the National Team Development Programme and Grassroots Development,” he said.

“India has won the bid to host the FIFA 2017 U-17 World Cup which will be a game changer for the Sport in the Country,” he added.

Mr. Osvaldo Ardiles, Brand Ambassador for Soccerex, also a member of the triumphant 1978 Argentina squad which won the 1978 World Cup was also present at the Event.

The Asian Forum would be followed by the Soccerex Global Convention which will be held in Manchester from September 6-10, 2014 which would be attended by a delegation of around 50 representatives from Indian Football.
